I'm a 17 year fashion industry veteran "jill of all" trades, w/ expertise in the world(s) of luxury retail, branding, buying, merchandising, concept implementation, apparel/accessories design, costume design, and wardrobe styling for the music/entertainment industry. I spent the last 10 years of my life focusing on Antique and Vintage clothing eras 1880s-1980s. I owned and operated a vintage/antique clothing company which had a studio loft space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and participated in several prominent artist/flea markets in the NYC metro area, Our "popsicle stand" was equal parts 'trend incubator' as well as a live action, "societal art installation/performance piece that played w/ and examined the concept of what is "Value" in today's society. I studied Sociology w/ a public policy/social action concentration at the University of New Mexico. I'm proud to say that all those working for my company at various times throughout our 7 year run as a shop/consulting company, held advanced degrees in costume research, marketing, fashion design, and art history. We were all very interested in the use of fashion as a tool of social interaction, social mobility, and positive change, as well as addressing and discussing solutions to fashion's often criticized negative effects, like rampant consumerism, social/ethnic stratification, planned obsolescence, and negative body image. Besides all that fun stuff- I'm a Musician&Singer&Rapid Organic Gardener. I chair the food bank organizer/planting position at my small Hudson Valley village's community garden in the town center. I have loved fashion since I was a child. I believe Andy, and in the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes, at least on Instagram. My favorite band is Can, and My favorite anyone who cuts sharp on the Bias! I wear Rick Owens combat boots everyday.
