Monique “MileMrkr” Marian is an architectural designer, a composer, and Grafitti artist living and working in New York City. Her work is a stark and hypnotic investigation into the forms and negative spaces left in the wake of the post-industrial era. Marian has been creating this series of images since about 2003, when she began studying architecture.

“There is an undeniable beauty of industrial era ruins; a presence that is greater than the sum of built parts. I identify with these spaces more than I do with people,” she said. “The viral decaying of buildings, perhaps allegorically human, are deconstructed by the same processes architectural spaces are conceived by.”
