Cherelle Sappleton is London-based artist and 2013 MFA graduate of Central Saint Martins. Known best for creating stunning collage work, Sappleton has been published in NeverLazy magazine, Inhale mag, The Guardian, Trendland, and Harpers Bazaar. Sappleton’s collages, which are assembled nearly exclusively from photographic advertising imagery, manipulate the human body in delightfully visual ways.

“The images I make are a surreal take on the representation of the body through photographic media. Sometimes they are humorous, sometimes unsettling. I take great pleasure in seeing the body transformed into an uncanny form of awkward limbs and garments. My current focus is collage, using cut outs from fashion editorials and adverts to create strange assemblages, with the body as its central subject.” ~Cherelle Sappleton
