Johannesburg-based artist Roger Ballen, known for the last forty years as a black and white portraitist, and more recently through a collaboration with South African rap group Die Antwoord, is releasing a new and revised version of the 2001 book ‘Outland’ on Phaidon Press. To celebrate the release, director Ben Jay Crossman, under the direction of Ballen, created this reel, which explores the lives and work of some of the photographer’s subjects.
