Erin Barr’s design aesthetic is a direction reflection of her inspirations. Named by Women’s Wear Daily as one of the new “Designers to Watch,” Barr developed her utility appeal studying design in London, a city known for its intended architecture and grunge glam.

Finishing her studies in New York at Parsons New School for Design, Barr interned with Alexander Wang and assisted at Cushnie Et Ochs, refining the tomboy chicness with a Parisian control and Wang’s obsessive-compulsive lackadaisical essence. The end product is Erin Barr’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, a clean and angular collaboration evoking a Los Angeles vibe, with a Moscot “sidecar” twist.

Her third collection, which showcased at New York’s Fashion Week, is the natural progression from Spring/Summer 2012’s “An American Tomboy in Paris,” which paired sophistication with suitability, through her Fall/Winter 2012/2013’s subdued rocker charm.
