I first came across Brooklyn artist nycspell last spring, and was completely spellbound with his raw, rough-edged, and experimental sound and aesthetic. His latest track, “Motorola” is one part feel-good house/R&B from the ’90s, and all parts blissed-out party track, judging from the layers of ambient bass and electronic keyboard melodies. “Motorola” was produced by Jack Hambling, an Australian producer who works under the name BustLip.
