TJ “Lil Silva” Carter is the 24 year-old producer behind the LA songstress BANKS’ hit song “Goddess,” which was one of the most shared songs on Spotify UK earlier this year. BANKS returned the favor by appearing on “Don’t You Love,” from Silva’s Mabel EP, a follow up to last years’ Distance.

Lil Silva may be young, but he’s prodigious. The Bedford producer released a full-length album at age 9, and won a cult following in the UK underground with his first official release Seasons / Funky Flex (2008). His clean, architectural beats—the secret weapon to BANKS’ elegant, sleepy swagger—are matched only by his deep crooning voice. Since heating up the UK scene and crossing the pond, Silva has been featured by Vogue, Pitchfork, TheFader and Stereogum to name a few. He’s without doubt an artist to watch through 2015.

Mabel will be out via True Panther and Good Years on Today.
