While there weren’t as many monstrous insects as in the video for “Ted,” my skin still crawled when watching the unsettling video for “Black Stone” from Clark’s latest album Iradelphic. I think it’s interesting that the electronic musician chose to release the second shortest and only non-electronic song from the new album as his first music video. Directed by The Vikings Collective, “Black Stone” became a beautifully shot, five-minute short film. With a pervasive theme of decay, the video for the melancholy piano track is at once captivating and grotesque. See for yourself what’s buried underneath the black stone.
