The crafty, stop motion video for Curxes‘ “Haunted Gold” was made with “gold glitter, an old scanner, 3000 images and a shed-load of patience over 8 weeks” and meticulously animated by singer Roberta Fidora. Fidora’s vocal range on “Haunted Gold” reminds me of Nika Danilova of Zola Jesus and the legendary Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and the Banshees, who Curxes list as an influence. The Brighton electro-industrial duo’s other half is multi-instrumentalist Macaulay Hopwood. No word on a debut album yet, but you can buy the single on April 10 via Itunes.
