Graphic Design Intern: Beautiful Savage Magazine

Internship Duties:

Primarily assisting with getting publication print ready and working directly with the Art Director. Must be highly proficient in InDesign and Photoshop, Final Cut and iPad & Mobile knowledge is a plus. Duties including but not limited to; designing new ad campaigns and PR materials, designing title treatments for featured editorials, PA on photo and video shoots, photo re-touching and treatments and also assisting the Art Director with print & mobile layout for the Spring Issue.

Can be virtual if candidate has Adobe Creative Suite. Spring 2014 and Summer 2014
Must be hard working, reliable, proactive and able to hit deadlines along with having a good sense of design and a strong sensibility for type & photography.

Beautiful Savage is looking for solid writers to craft concise and cunning articles that cover the creative lifestyle of art, fashion, design, and music. Articles range from Q&A’s with and profiles on artists and designers to shorter 100- to 300-word write-ups about the latest exhibit, show, album release, photo series, and more. Based in Brooklyn, Beautiful Savage puts a focus on the underground New York scene, but all articles can be written remotely, and compensation will be given per article.

Beautiful Savage gladly welcomes editorial pitches for consideration of publication on our website. Photographers and stylists interested in submitting work should have an understanding of and appreciation for the Beautiful Savage aesthetic, and we strongly advise consulting the website’s content and our magazine to get a feel for what we cover before submitting. Editorials can be between four to eight photographs. To submit, please send all appropriate credit information, hi-resolution jpeg files, and of course, a brief (but detailed) one-paragraph summary describing the work being presented to the editor at chad@beautifulsavage.com.
